Review an edit and make the final film
Adjust cuts, framing, captions and narration before the final render.
Review the proposed sequence#
After the separately quoted analysis finishes, Video Studio displays the edit plan. Read the summary and warnings, then inspect the source preview for each shot. The preview shows source footage; the final render applies your crop, captions, transitions and sound.
- Choose the source clip and set each shot’s In and Out times.
- Use the arrows to reorder shots. Remove unnecessary cuts or add a cut if needed.
- Choose left, centre or right framing and a cut or fade-through-black transition.
- Edit short on-screen captions and approve narration if selected.
Make the timing fit#
The sequence must match your chosen 15-, 30- or 60-second duration. An ending card takes three seconds from that total. Each cut must use available footage and last at least half a second; a plan may contain up to twelve shots.
Narration must fit the footage. Keep it within the displayed validation limit—currently up to two words per second of footage, excluding the ending card—and favour shorter copy for a natural pace.
For a 30-second film with an ending card, use 27 seconds of footage plus the three-second ending. A five-second opening, three six-second detail shots and a four-second closing shot total 27 seconds.
Save, quote and render#
- Resolve timing or source warnings until the edit is valid.
- Choose Save edit & review price and inspect the exact render quote.
- If needed, buy more coins and return to your saved edit. A purchase does not start rendering.
- Confirm the render. When ready, watch the complete film with sound and download it.
